Brush Park music and arts organization to relocate to, rehab Edmund Place building

The Brush Park Conservatory of Music and Fine Arts has purchased 229 Edmund Place and hopes to relocate into the building in a year, after completing renovations to the three-story structure.

Director Joan Crawford is currently raising the $200,000 needed to complete renovations. She is working with grants and foundations, soliciting in-kind donations and will conduct a "buy a brick" fund-raiser.

The Conservatory teaches music and dance to people ranging in age from two to 80. There are one-on-one vocalization and instrumentation lessons, group dance classes and a senior choir.
