The
Brush Park Conservatory of Music and Fine Arts has purchased 229 Edmund Place and hopes to relocate into the building in a year, after completing renovations to the three-story structure.
Director Joan Crawford is currently raising the $200,000 needed to complete renovations. She is working with grants and foundations, soliciting in-kind donations and will conduct a "buy a brick" fund-raiser.
The Conservatory teaches music and dance to people ranging in age from two to 80. There are one-on-one vocalization and instrumentation lessons, group dance classes and a senior choir.
