
The strange and wonderful pairing of quality local techno and sushi is returning to Woodward.
Oslo was a hit during its two-year run, cut short until recently. It is being resurrected by a former bartender and her family. The music is already up and going, and the restaurant is returning soon.
Katalia (Kat) Lemos once poured drinks at the restaurant/club, and has now invested in it along with her husband Roberto (DJ Bet) Lemos and her parents, who own Royal Thai Café in Royal Oak.
The restaurant will continue to serve sushi but will expand its menu to include Thai, Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine. One major change on the first-floor restaurant level is that the chefs have been moved to the front of the space, allowing pedestrians to get a peek through the restaurant's windows.
As far as music goes, opening night was for the locals, featuring a heavy-hitting line-up of Kevin Saunderson, D-Wynn and Minx.
Paxahau has Claude VanStroke scheduled for Dec. 1 and Terrence Parker plans to host a weekly night at the club.
