The Rowland Café – located in the lobby of the Guarding Building – hosted their grand opening Thursday, Oct. 13. The event also celebrated the first anniversary of the Pure Detroit Design Lab and offered live music and a fashion show.
The café, owned by Pure Detroit’s founders, was named after Detroit architect Wirt Rowland, who designed the Guardian building. It features Italian beverages, including Illy coffee, as well as baked goods and sandwiches.
The Design Lab is a boutique and studio space for independent Detroit designers. For more information, go to www.puredetroitdesignlab.com.
