The former Detroit Dry Docks Engine Works complex and Globe Trading Company building, dating back to 1892, is currently undergoing a $12.8 million renovation into a new state park recreation center for the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. The building will serve as an entry point into the William G. Milliken State Park and Harbor. It will feature an indoor adventure park and discovery center, as well as new DNR offices and special events space.
