Kraemer Design Group works on renovations at historic Detroit Athletic Club

The venerable Detroit Athletic Club is embarking on a renovation of the fifth and sixth floors and they've hired local firm Kraemer Design Group to design the improvements.

The first phase focuses on the corridors, which will be getting a new marble floor, carpeting, wall coverings and lighting fixtures. Work is to begin this week. "It's being redone to be more elegant and more in tune with the overall property," says Bob Kraemer of KDG. "It's a little more contemporary of a look."
