Detroit Community Acupuncture relocates to larger space with Woodward frontage

A year and a half after opening its doors in Midtown, Detroit Community Acupuncture is relocating to 4100 Woodward at Alexandrine, on the ground floor of the building that also houses Apartment Finders.

The two block relocation will adds some space -- and overhead -- to the operation, but proprietor Madden is hoping "that increased visibility will make up the difference." She has good reason to believe that more eyes on the shop will mean an uptick in business, because three-quarters of her clientele are newbies to acupuncture.

DCA will temporarily close until its reopening on July 2. As with all first Fridays of the month, there will be free treatment offered to new patients on that day. Also in July, Madden is offering 2-for-$20 for the entire month, meaning that two appointments made in tandem are only $10 each, for new and existing customers alike.

The new location offers free parking. Call 313-831-3222 for an appointment.
