AKT Peerless Environmental Services is expanding these days through organic growth and acquisitions. The environmental development firm has recently acquired Traverse City-based
Environmental Consultants & Services and has added a handful of people over the last year.
AKT Peerless has offices in Saginaw, Lansing, Grand Rapids and downtown Detroit. Its downtown Detroit office has grown to half a dozen employees and an intern or two. It plans to add a new person or two to the Detroit office as it continues to grow its energy audit and consulting side of its business.
"The Detroit market is growing," says Brian Eggers, principal and founder of
AKT Peerless. "It continues to be strong for us."
AKT Peerless acquired a Chicago-based firm a few years ago to expand into the energy audit and consulting business. That business has since been moved to Detroit and is growing as more and more landlords and business owners are working to cut operation costs on their facilities through energy efficiency.
