An alternative health and wellness spa, De Spa Elite, has opened inside the Millender Center, on Randolph just north of Jefferson.
The spa offers a wide range of services including massage therapy, manicures ($12) and pedicures ($40), numerous facials, waxing, makeup and packages that combine multiple procedures and include lunch starting at $199.
Other offerings at DSE is a wellness program that focuses on stress reduction and weight loss and healing through energy work. Proprietor Carolyn Hopkins will soon publish a book on the topic called
Prayer Pamper Peace.
DSE is offering is a 50 minute massage for $60 on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. An appointment is required.
Hours are Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The spa is located at 502 Randolph. Call 313-965-3004.
