A honest-to-goodness old-fashioned produce market has opened up in Brush Park. Greg & Bo's Produce Market, at 2611 John R, is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is fully stocked with fruits and veggies.
The modest storefront is packed with low-price produce -- a recent visit had several deals for a buck: five bananas, a package of arugula, three bundles of green onions or five limes. There was also a small array of home goods, with a single roll of recycled toilet paper to be had for 50 cents.
The employees are friendly, accommodating and willing to entertain suggestions on what to stock.
