As if Midtown didn't have enough to chew on with the recent announcements about
Corridor Sausage Co.,
Ye Olde Butcher Shoppe,
Kim's Produce, and
Third Street, here are a few more morsels of news.
Starter's Bar and Grill has opened at 4501 Woodward Ave., on the ground floor of
Studio One Apartments. This is the third location for the local chain, and the second Starter's in Detroit proper. Call 313-831-3100.
Starter's joins Utrecht Art Supply, Biggby Coffee, Radio Shack and Fifth Third Bank at the complex. A Fat Burger is also planned for the space.
As we reported in December, Revolution Books relocated from W. WIllis to Woodward. This move will enable former neighbor
Goodwells Natural Foods Market to expand into that space, essentially doubling the store in size. While larger, customers can expect the same quality produce, health food staples and carry-out vegetarian and vegan meals. Read more about Goodwells in

Finally, anyone who hasn't been to
Traffic Jam & Snug lately will notice something almost immediately upon entry: the bar area has been completely rebuilt and expanded. One more nice place in Midtown to pull up a stool.
