Logistics firm CH Robinson relocates to Ren Cen

C.H. Robinson, a multi-national logistics firm, is relocating its Detroit branch office from Southfield to the Renaissance Center Tower 500. The company expects 74 employees to move into their new digs by April 2010.

"This is exactly the kind of tenant we're looking for," says Mark Wallace, project manager for Hines, Ren Cen's property managers. "They're educated, a relatively young workforce, and the employees were very involved in the decision-making process. These are the types of employees that will figure out Detroit and become ambassadors for other people to come down."

C.H. Robinson operates a network of 235 offices in North America, Europe, Asia, South America, Australia and the Middle East; its Detroit office is in its top ten branches in terms of revenue. The company primarily arranges domestic transportation with multi-modal capabilities. The move to the Ren Cen takes advantage of state business tax savings and will increase the firm's visibility.
