Round-up: Clothing boutique, dental office open downtown

Good news for Downtown denizens: a couple new businesses have opened recently. Here's the scoopage:

• Gentle Dental has opened its tenth Michigan location on Jefferson, across the street from the Renaissance Center. It's at 529 E. Jefferson. Call 313-963-3336. Hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• A new clothing boutique, Sasha's by Tina, has set up shop at the Lofts of Merchants Row. Sasha's carries men's and women's clothing and is located at 1441 Woodward Avenue between Grand River and Clifford. Hours are Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

• Red Rose Florist has relocated to 1425 Woodward, also at Merchants Row, from the Book Building. Call 313-963-1422 or stop by weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or Saturdays noon to 5 p.m.
  

If you have a sinking feeling that there is so much new stuff downtown these days to really know what's what, Model D has a suggestion for you: one of Inside Detroit's regularly scheduled walking tours. The energetic duo of Maureen Kearns and Jeanette Pierce will lead you around to all the oldies but goodies and the new spots, too.

Their Downtown Highlights Tour happens every Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. On Sundays, it's a Downtown Entertainment Tour from 4 to 6 p.m. The tours cost $10 and you can sign up here.
