Patty Formosa, a retail consultant with MapInfo, will be discussing what retailers look for when choosing store locations, the retail situation in Detroit, and what Detroit can do to attract more retail. She is an expert with GIS, Census Date, etc., and retailers like Home Depot, Pep Boys, and Linens 'N Things hire her to tell them where to build stores.
