Another successful restaurant week is in the books. Attendance was up nearly six percent with about 29,000 diners coming out for the food.
Excerpt from
Crain's Detroit Business:
Attendance was up by nearly six percent for Detroit Restaurant Week this
spring.
About 29,000 diners participated in the 10-night event
that took place in April compared to 27,454 diners attending the event
last September.
Jason Huvaere, executive director of Detroit
Restaurant Week, credits the increase to the public's awareness of the
event.
"When we did the first one in the fall, everyone was
still trying to familiarize themselves with what Detroit Restaurant Week
was all about," Huvaere said. "This time around, everyone was more
comfortable with the restaurant week concept."
