The Takeaway is coming to WDET studios in Detroit on Thursday and Friday

So you didn't like what you heard and saw on NBC's Dateline? Or did it hit hard enough? Public radio's nationally broadcast morning news talk show is coming to Detroit's WDET 101.9 FM this week, and they want to hear from you.

The Takeaway plays early. It's a fast paced show whose host got her start right here in Detroit. Well, she's coming back. Celeste Headlee will be broadcasting the show from here in Detroit and asking: What we love about our city?

Headlee will be doing the show from WDET studios in Midtown live from 8-10 a.m. Thursday and Friday.

"This is the closest people are going to get in their lives to do a do-over in the media," J. Mikel Ellcessor, general manager of WDET, tells Model D. "What did they miss? What should be told? If you want to have a say, this is it. Go for it."

Be sure to listen and chime in. Chris Hansen, pay attention.

Excerpt from the Takeaway site:

Later next week, we'll be co-broadcasting the show from Detroit. And before then, we're asking, What do you love about Detroit? The headlines usually focus on what's going wrong in Detroit, but we want to hear what you like about the city. We're especially interested in hearing from Detroit listeners, but anyone can weigh in.
