Southwest Detroit's density and population growth have been a boon to Grand Lofts, a Dionysia Properties Building located on W. Grand Blvd. just south of Michigan Ave. Only three of the 94 units in the first phase remain available, and now a 42-unit second phase has just come online. "We carry a very high occupancy rate at the Grand Lofts, very high," says project manager Eric Novack. "(We think it is) primarily due to the high occupancy rates in Southwest, Mexicantown and Corktown."
Units range in price from $550 to $1,800 per month and in size from 600 to 2,100 square feet. Amenities include high ceilings, wood floors, exposed brick and new kitchens and bathrooms. Some units are bi-level and some feature balconies. "These are beautiful lofts for a very market rate," says Novack.
