There’s a never a dull moment in Midtown, as a recent D-Business development overview, Meet Me in Midtown, clearly demonstrates. In that same vein, there is some restaurant news to pass along.

As reported by ClickOnDetroit.com, the former 13th Precinct on Woodward at Hancock will open as Bohemia, a 620-seat restaurant and 200-person banquet hall. Owners Ted and Nico Gatzaros, who have stakes in Fishbone’s, Greektown Casino, and the Atheneum Hotel, plan to open Bohemia next summer.

The former Twingo’s on Cass Ave. will reopen as Shangri-La. It will be the second location for the Chinese restaurant that is based in Bloomfield Hills.

Both Fat Burger and Starters Bar and Grill will open this fall in the Studio One Apartments on Woodward between Canfield and Forest.

And lastly, Passport Pizza ‘n’ Ribs is in the process of relocating from Second Ave. to Woodward and Canfield, formerly the home of Beans & Bytes Coffee Shop. Call 313-494-5200 for delivery.
