Soul Tracks recently polled its readers to crown one metropolis "The World's Greatest Soul Music City." At the top of the list, with 30 percent of the total vote, was Detroit (which, we might add, absolutely trounced the competition). And the blog makes it clear it isn't just the city's history as the birthplace of Motown Records that deserves recognition.
