Model D TV: Rock ‘Em, Sock ‘Em, Detroit Derby Girls

Strap on your elbow pads, fasten your helmet strap and watch out! Detroit’s Derby Girls are on a mission and take no prisoners. They promise a good time to be had by all.

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Ouch. That’s gotta hurt. We can’t guarantee that any Derby Girls weren’t hurt in the making of this video.

But it’s all for a good cause (a charity, and fun) when the Detroit Derby Girls get on their skates and start slamming at the Masonic Temple in Detroit.

This is serious fun. The matches often sell out, so hurry up if you wan’t to catch their next event: 6 p.m. Saturday, April 12, when the Detroit Pistoffs take on the Devil’s Night Dames at the Masonic Drill Hall. More info on how to purchase tickets is on their web site.

In the meantime, watch the video by Tom Hendrickson, our Model D TV head honcho.

P.S. The after parties are the stuff of legends, we hear, and happen at the Northern Lights Lounge in New Center, at 660 W. Baltimore.
