Once an abandoned car wash, hotel and liquor store, Mid-Med Lofts has become a busy cluster of businesses and residential units.

One thing it has going for it is its Canfield location, with the Detroit Medical Center, Wayne State University and the Cultural Center surrounding it.

The development now houses cute boutiques like Sole Sisters and the Black Dress, seven units of residential (five already occupied), a deli, a convenience store and an acupuncture clinic.

Find out more and check out the before and after shots in this video clip from produce/director Tom Hendrickson.
