Let's party, people

No doubt, the weekend ahead is meant to be wrapped in sound adventures, courtesy of Paxahau and the group's production of the Movement Festival, which has been held at Hart Plaza since 2000.

We recommend you take in a day or three and hit some choice afterparties. See Filter D for some of our recommendations. This is Detroit. Music is in our DNA. Dancing until dawn, with friends and strangers, is what we do.

Also in related news: on May 24, Inner State Gallery will showcase Ron Zakrin’s latest body of work, Beauty & The Beats with an opening reception, 7-10 p.m. The new collection of work is inspired by electronic music in celebration of this year’s festival. "Transmission," the official Movement poster (above) by Zakrin, will be up until June 19 at the gallery. Inner State Gallery is at 1410 Gratiot in Detroit’s Eastern Market.

Stay safe, have fun and be ready for fresh Model D content come June 4.
