The council approved a five-year contract with the nonprofit
Downtown Detroit Partnership, chaired by racing legend Roger
Penske, to organize the Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix, The
Detroit News and the Detroit Free Press reported.

The Labor Day weekend races will mark Detroit’s return
