The Jefferson East Business District is located along Jefferson Avenue between Dickerson and Alter Rd.
MISSION
Jefferson East Business Association’s (JEBA) mission is to improve the quality of life on Detroit’s lower eastside by addressing the needs of the business and residential community. Our focus is:
• Identifying and overcoming barriers to both the physical and economic development of the area
• Increasing opportunities for business growth
• Establishing mechanisms that insure the success of businesses
• Encouraging the creation of employment opportunities for area residents
BOUNDARIES
JEBA’s Target area is bounded by St. Jean to the west, Alter and the Detroit border to the east, Charlevoix to the north, and t he Detroit River to the south. The Jefferson East Business District is located along Jefferson Avenue between Dickerson and Alter Rd.
VISION
The vision for the Jefferson East Business District is to maintain and improve existing businesses while encouraging redevelopment to create a viable and vibrant business district.
