Urban Science looks to fill 20 positions at downtown Detroit job fair

Urban Science has 20 tech positions for its downtown Detroit headquarters, which the automotive retail consulting firm hopes to fill at a job fair on Wednesday.

Urban Science is looking for people that specialize in IT, quality assurance, business analysis, account management, business consulting, project management, database administration, and software developers. The company expects to continue hiring throughout the rest of the year.

"We're trying to build a pipeline for the openings we plan to fill in the future," says Matthew Bejin, global director of recruiting & staffing for Urban Science.

Urban Science provides retail analysis for a number of different corporations with software programs that create analysis on a business's customers, its retail location and what it can do to improve the performance of both, among other things. Urban Science has called the Renaissance Center home since it opened in 1977, recently expanding its footprint there to accommodate its growth.

The company currently employs 300 people in Detroit after hiring 130 people over the last year. It will add another 20 shortly after its career fair at is headquarters in the Ren Cen. For information, click here.

"These positions offer a career path for people who have been in application development for a longtime," Bejin says.
