Though the first one has come and passed, there are still two more
Saturdays left for the 6th Annual Motor City Makeover. Volunteers will
collect debris and litter on the west side May 10 and on May 17 will
hit up the center and southwest areas of the city.

Though the first one has come and passed, there are still two more Saturdays left for the 6th Annual Motor City Makeover. Volunteers will collect debris and litter on the west side May 10 and on May 17 will hit up the center and southwest areas of the city.

Although more than 60,000 have participated in each of the past few years, more help is always needed, Kilpatrick said.

“We
are always pushing to get more volunteers,” Kilpatrick said in an
announcement at the park at Rosa Parks and West Grand boulevards this
morning. “We want more of our community to come out this year to
support Motor City Makeover.”

The first cleanup is scheduled
for Saturday on the north end and east side of the city. The west side
will get a cleaning on May 10 and the center and southwest areas on May
17.
