Trinosophes

Jan. 26, 9 p.m.

Here we go with some roots music from three bands — Immigrant Suns (pictured), Orpheum Bell and Detroit Pleasure Society — that put fresh spins on old traditions while ever-evolving into something new.

Qytelis, trombone and fiddle mix together during a night of music influenced by New Orleans, the Balkans, Americana, the Middle East, and more. The range of instrument timbres from each group will glow Saturday night at Trinosophes, a dandy newish performance space on Gratiot in Eastern Market.

Suggested admission is $7.

Trinosophes is at 1464 Gratiot, Detroit.
