Compuware set to fill 100-plus jobs at open house

Compuware is about to go on a hiring spree, and the tech firm will begin filling many of those jobs at an open house next week.

Compuware employs about 4,400 people as of Dec. 31st, most of whom work in downtown Detroit. The company plans to fill more than 100 openings for mid-level and higher positions. The firm is looking to hire JAVA developers and architects, project managers, program developers, business analysts, quality assurance analysts and health-care informatics people.

“We’re really looking for the technology skills and the soft skills,” says Mary Johnson, technology recruiting manager at Compuware. “We’re looking for people with the right attitude. The people who are willing to roll up their sleeves and get the job done.”

Fueling this recent expansion, Compuware’s employee base remained flat in 2010, is the rapid growth in the company’s service-related divisions, such as Global Delivery, Professional Services, Technology and Covisint. “There is explosive growth in the heath-care arena,” says Doug Kuiper, vice president of marketing & communications for Compuware. “That’s driving a lot of this.”

The open house will be held on Feb. 22 at Compuware’s headquarters overlooking Campus Martius in downtown. The event is invitation only. Anyone interested in attending can send a resume to openhouse@compuware.com. For information, click on Compuware’s Facebook page here or its Twitter feed here.
