GalaxE. Solutions targets 5-20 new jobs per month this year

GalaxE. Solutions continues its hiring spree in downtown Detroit, expanding its downtown IT office to 130 people since its opening a little more than a year ago.

GalaxE. Solutions
plans to grow its downtown Detroit office to 500 people within the first five years. Those workers are taking advantage of the trend of on-shoring IT work to Detroit, taking advantage of the city's low cost of doing business and skilled workforce to onshore IT jobs that had previously been sent overseas.

GalaxE. Solutions
has been hiring about 5-20 people per month, and expects to maintain that clip for the foreseeable future. "Right now our biggest limitation is availability of resources," says Ryan Hoyle, director of global recruiting for GalaxE. Solutions.

To help fill that resource hole, GalaxE. Solutions plans to continue to mine for talent from the Michigan Works! program. It also plans to launch an internship program later this year.

"We see that as a key strategy for our growth in the future," Hoyle says. "One of the reasons we choose Detroit is because of the excellent research universities here. We see that as a feeder system."
