
Four new tenants at
211 W. Fort have boosted its occupancy to 84% -- which, incidentally is the
rate of downtown as a whole.
The United States Customs and Border Protection Services signed a lease for about 23,000 square fee, and the Internal Revenue Service signed one for about 2,000 square feet — both for 10 years.
The law offices of Hickey, Cianciolo, Fishman & Finn, P.C. signed a three-year lease for about 3,000 square feet.
The only new tenant from out-of-town, Al Roker Entertainment, entered into a short-term lease in the building for a production office.
Two tenants also renewed leases: James Howard Turner, P.C., and Greeley and Hanson.
The 26-story skyscraper was designed in the International style by
Harley, Ellington, Cowan & Stirton. Construction began in 1961 and
wrapped up in 1963. Amenities include full-height, double-paned windows and services such as banking, a restaurant and a convenience store. There are 450,000 square feet of lease-able space in the structure.
