Franco PR Group hires in Renaissance Center

Employees at the Franco Public Relations Group have been coming to work in the Renaissance Center since the day it opened and more of them are making that trip this year thanks to the firm's recent hiring spree.

The 46-year-old company has hired three people in the last year, bringing it's staff to 15 people and an intern. It plans to hire another 1-2 people before the end of the year, and more potentially next year. Maria Leonhauser, president of Franco Public Relations Group, credits the company's recent growth to its long-time stability and expanding client base.

"We really listen to what the needs are and do them," Leonhauser says. "We have an amazing team and an amazing culture."

That culture revolves around how the company handles its work in public relations, corporate events, community relations and crisis work. Franco Public Relations Group focuses on breaking down silos in the company so members of it's team work (and play) together instead of competing against each other. That philosophy has helped the company get through tough times, and Leonhauser sees it paying significant dividends now that the economy is starting to rebound.

"There is a bubble of optimism happening," she says. "There is a sense we can breathe deeply again."
