Apartments in the Iodent Lofts in Park Ave. district ready to rent

Construction is complete at Park Avenue's Iodent Lofts, and four of the eight-story building's 11 apartment units are occupied.

We can think of many, many worse things than living upstairs from the Centaur Bar, which occupies the building's first two floors.

Upstairs, five one-bedroom apartments are available, and range in size from 660 to 1,200 square feet. There is one two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment that is 1,328 square feet. Rent is $825 to $1,500 per month.

The eighth-floor penthouse is not yet built out, but owner Sean Harrington plans to make it his residence.

The luxury apartments feature high-end amenities like enormous tiled showers with full seats, under-counter drawer-style dishwashers, track lighting, maple kitchen cabinets and video monitors for the building's front door. Double walls separate the units for sound minimization.

The polished concrete floors and custom-milled trim work contribute to a "clean, modern" aesthetic, says architect Steve Flum. This vision is carried through to the fully restored, art deco lobby. The project builder was The Beresh Group.

The building's third floor has two office suites. One is 1,250 square feet and will lease for $1,870 per month; the other is 1,560 square feet and will go for $2,340. A 730-square-foot ground-floor commercial space will run $2,013 per month.
