Dearborn’s
LaPita restaurant has a new location at 5056 Cass on Wayne State
University’s campus. The Midtown location opened Feb. 2.
LaPita offers fast, fresh Mediterranean cuisine with a Lebanese
twist serving traditional favorites such as hummus and shawarma. “We
want to provide students with a healthy alternative to other
franchises, and we are priced accordingly,” says owner Kasey Chammount.
The 3,500-square-foot restaurant has two counters, one for express
orders and another for pick-ups. There is also space for seated dining.
A plasma TV and wireless Internet access are available.
LaPita is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday through Friday
from 8 a.m. until 9:30 p.m., and from Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. It
is closed Sundays.
