Miller Canfield expands into China with new office, hires 18

Detroit's Miller Canfield has added 18 lawyers in the last year and four offices around the world in the last two years. The latest is a China office in Shanghai, which opened in November.

Miller Canfield now employs 370 lawyers and 400 additional personnel at 17 locations. Of those 474 are in the law firm's southeast Michigan offices in Ann Arbor, Troy and Detroit. The largest concentration are 249 employees in downtown Detroit. Sidney Davy Miller founded Miller Canfield in 1852 in Detroit.
