A study conducted by Patrick Rishe, an associate professor of economics at Webster University in St. Louis reports that the Major League Baseball All-Star Game made a $52.5 million economic impact on metro Detroit.
The game and related events in and around Comerica Park and Cobo Center brought $42 million in impact to Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties, according to a market-research report commissioned by the Detroit Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau.
