Dateline tackles Detroit's low hanging fruit, but check what only made their website

On Sunday night, Dateline's Chris Hansen, who you may know from the show "To Catch a Predator," shifted gears and decided to do a piece on Detroit. He talked about the decline, the abandonment, the failing school system, if Detroit could go broke, urban gardening, and, of course, Kid Rock and his beer. So, pretty much everything you'd expect NBC to cover. A link to that coverage is here.

However, there are a few pieces on their website that didn't make it on the air that probably should have. 'Cause they would have, truly, rounded out the Detroit story.

What didn't make it on the air:

A segment on Le Petit Zinc and the friendliness of the entrepreneur community is here.

A segment on Mitch Cope and Gina Reichert and their "artist community" in the Conant-Davison neighborhood is here.
