Today, Canine To Five announced its grand opening and becomes the first dog daycare in Detroit’s Midtown neighborhood.
Prior to opening Canine To Five, Detroit’s dog owners were forced to either leave the city’s estimated 450,000 dogs at home or drive to one of only a handful of dog daycares in suburbs like Novi or Troy. Given Canine To Five’s close proximity to the Detroit Medical Center, Wayne State University and downtown; Canine To Five provides dog owners who live or work downtown with a safe and convenient place to board their dogs while at work or traveling.
Convenience is just one of many benefits that Canine To Five offers dog owners. Under the supervision of trained and caring professionals, owners can allow their dogs to socialize with other dogs, learn social skills, help curb destructive behavior and reinforce training techniques consistent with the dog’s home environment.
Canine To Five provides dogs with a 4,500 square feet of cage-free, indoor climate-controlled play space. And when weather permits, the facility maintains a 1,000 square foot fenced in outdoor play space. In addition, there‘s a separate play area for puppies, small dogs, and quiet time. Canine To Five also offers attended overnight boarding to it’s daycare dogs. Each dog receives proper time and attention and its staff of dog lovers are certified canine first aid, CPR, and animal behavior.
