Lynn and David Kiley are like hundreds of metro Detroiters trying to use their homes to cash in on having the world's most popular sporting event being played in their backyards. They're advertising their homes - from one-room rentals to everything, including the kitchen sink - on Web sites such as eBay and craigslist. Some are asking for upwards of $30,000.
Bill and Amalia Zielonka live in Rochester Hills, Mich., but also own a 2-bedroom Riverfront condo in downtown Detroit. For two days during Super Bowl week, their condo will be used by a drug company.
At $2,000 per day, they hope to find another company or individual who will want to rent it throughout the weekend.
The money is good, she said, as is the feeling of being a part of such a historic occasion for Detroit.
