Franco PR hires 2 as it takes on more crisis management work

Franco Public Relations Group has recently hired two people, the first in a handful of new hires the 47-year-old PR agency expects to make this year.

"Business picked up so we needed an extra person," says Tina Kozak, senior vice president of Franco Public Relations Group. "We picked up one of our interns, promoting her to full-time."

The Renaissance Center-based company has called the iconic skyscraper home since it opened in the 1980s. It has seen an increase in its crisis management work over the fourth quarter of last year and first quarter of this year. It is also bringing on new clients in retail and health-care sectors.

Franco Public Relations Group and its staff of 16 people has also expanded its work with Hard Rock Cafe. The PR agency handles its work for the Detroit location, which has led to it now taking on social media duties for the Seattle Hard Rock Cafe. This has all added up to Franco Public Relations Group's best year since 2007.

"We had an incredible 2011," Kozak says. "It's looking really strong for this year. We expect to be at 20 people by the end of the year."
