About 15 luxury condos planned for Elliott Building Downtown

The six-story Elliott Building is receiving façade and ground level commercial improvements, and luxury condos will be put in its top floors.

The Woodward Grand Realty Co. is converting the top floors of the building at Woodward and Grand River into 15 to 18 luxury condo units. A half story will be added to accommodate extra space for the duplex penthouses located on the top floor. Unit sizes will range from 800 square feet with one bed and bath to approximately 3,100 square feet for a three-bed and three-bath penthouse. Prices for the units have not yet been established.

The interiors will be fully finished, however, if a unit is purchased before completion the owner will have the option to leave it raw and choose from several upgrade packages. All units will have large windows and high ceilings. Additionally, each unit will be furnished with high-tech appliances, communications and security systems.

Currently, the façade improvements and the 6,000-square foot commercial space are under construction. The developer is seeking retail, a restaurant or grocer to occupy the ground level space. Condo conversions are set to start in late spring and be ready for occupancy in the winter of 2007.
