The Bronx Bar in Midtown is getting a bit of a facelift, but not to worry -- it's merely a tiny nip and tuck, not an extreme makeover.
"We're going to be very careful it doesn't change the character of the bar," says owner Paul Howard.
Howard has applied for a permit for patio seating but does not expect to receive it until fall because of the extensive permitting process. In the meantime, work has begun on painting the exterior and installing windows that will open -- but he swears the bar will remain dark. "It's been a little tricky (to find windows) that will keep light out but let fresh air in," he says.
