Three
buildings at the corner of Cass and the north I-75 Service Drive are
being converted into Condos @ 75, adding more condos to Midtown.
The first of the three buildings, at 2467 Cass, will house 20 condo
units that will be mostly finished, with some exposed brick. The one-
and two-bedroom units will range from $134,900 to $237,000, and have
between 750 and 1,300 square feet. Many of the units also will have
large bay windows and views of the city skyline. Residents will receive
tax breaks due to the project’s Neighborhood Enterprise Zone status.
Dwight Belyue, owner of Belmar Development Group, says this
development “will be the gateway to Cass Corridor. It is going to
appeal to people who want affordable price points but also want to be
in an urban environment.” Because the project consists of three
buildings, Belyue hopes to create a community atmosphere for residents.
Design plans for the $8.5 million project have been finalized and
construction is set to begin after the first of the year for the first
building. Belyue plans to begin construction on the other units in the
spring. Reservations are being taken, with pre-sale specials set for
the following months.
