Bing reaches out to the business community for help

We have a lot of things going for us here in Detroit but we also need a lot of help. And Mayor Dave Bing has asked for it. He reached out to the business community asking them for, well, cash money. It takes a big man to asked for help, and Bing is just that ... literally.

Excerpt from the Detroit Free Press:

"We're going to need some of your time, and some of your money, quite frankly," he said. "We need some help."

Promising that he is putting an end to the red tape and rudeness that sometimes greet those trying to do business with the city, he asked attendees to start reinvesting in Detroit.

"For a long time, the investments have been going elsewhere for different reasons," Bing said, adding that land in the city now is especially affordable. "The deals are unbelievable, so I'm sure I'm going to start getting people lined up at the office saying, 'Have we got a deal for you.' And I'm looking forward to that.
