Space lab opens at Detroit Science Center; $250,000 NASA grant creates exhibit

The lab’s eight permanent, hands-on exhibits on the universe, planets and stars were funded by a NASA grant of nearly $250,000, awarded last December.

The grant also is funding two to three space-science teacher workshops and providing space-science field trips to the Detroit Science Center for about 10,000 children.
