Agency 720 brings HQ, 80 jobs to downtown

Agency 720 made the move from Troy to downtown Detroit to not only be near its largest customer, Chevrolet, but to cash in on the Central Business District's growing cosmopolitan appeal.

"We want to be part of what's happening in downtown Detroit," says Harold Kobakof, president & CEO of Agency 720. "We like the energy and what's being done."

The newly minted advertising agency employs 80 people in five offices across the U.S. The bulk of its workforce in Detroit is in Metro Detroit, which now calls the One Detroit Center home. That's 31 new employees within a few minutes walking distance of just about everything downtown Detroit has to offer, including the Renaissance Center where Chevrolet is based.

"It's a city setting with big buildings," Kobakof says. "There is a hustle and bustle to it. As I am talking to you (this reporter) I am looking down into Campus Martius."
