Third Street Bar adds taco truck and outdoor patio

Third Street Bar has imported a bit of Southwest Detroit flavor into Midtown with the addition of an authentic taco truck. The truck is permanently parked at the edge of the pub's new outdoor patio, which is fenced in and partially covered.

The menu runs the gamut from tacos ($2 and $2.50 each, depending on filling) to salads, quesadillas, corn on the cob, seafood fritters and tostadas. The most expensive item on the menu -- a plate with three tacos, rice and beans -- tops out at $6.50.

Owner Scott Kosiek says the bar and taco truck will soon open at 11 a.m. for lunch. He plans to add a variety of trucks to his lot over time, each with a singular culinary focus.

Third Street is at 701 W. Forest at Third. There is parking on the east side of the building, which is where the main entrance is located. Hours are currently 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. seven days a week. Call 313-833-0603.
